Get a life. A real life, not a manic pursuit of the next promotion, the bigger paycheck, the larger house. Get a life in which you are not alone. Find people you love, and who love you.And remember that love is not leisure，it is work. Pick up the phone. Send an e-mail. Write a letter. Get a life in which you are generous.

活得瀟灑一點。過一種真實的生活，而不是無盡得追求一次又一次的提升，更豐厚的薪水，更大的房子。不要孤獨的生活。找到你愛的人和愛你的人。記住，愛不是閑呆著什么也不干，愛是工作。拿起電話，或發一封電子郵件，或寫一封信。過一種慷慨付出的生活。

And realize that life is the best thing ever, and that you have no business taking it for granted. It is so easy to waste our lives, our days, our hours, our minutes. It is so easy to take for granted the color of our kid’s eyes, the way the melody in symphony rises and falls and disappears and rises again... It is so easy to extist instead of to live.

要意識到生活是最美好的，你應該對此倍加珍惜。浪費生命實在是太容易了。把一天，一小時，一分鐘浪費掉真的很容易。我們很容易把孩子的眼神視為當然而不知珍惜：很容易把交響樂中旋律起伏的變化視為當然而不知珍惜... 我們很容易將自身處于“生存”而非“生活”的狀態。

I learned to live many years ago. Something really, really bad happened to me ,something that changed my life in ways that, if I had my option, it would never have been changed at all.And what I learned from it is what, today, seems to be the hardest lesson of all.

我學會生活是很多年以前的事了。當時一件非常非常糟糕的事情發生了，它改變了我原有的生活，要是當時我可以選擇的話，這個巨大的改變絕不會發生。而如今看來，從中我學到的是我一生中最艱難的一課。

I learned to love the journey, not the destination. I learned that it is not a dress rehearsal, and that today is the only guarantee you get.

And think of life as a terminal illness, because if you do, you will live it with joy and passion as it ought to be lived.
