Several steps, such as reducing the interview-screening process, building a new consulate in Guangzhou and expanding current offices, are being taken to ease the entry process for Chinese visitors.

美國駐華使館表示，將采取多項措施放寬對中國公民入境審理的流程，比如簡化面試篩選程序、在廣州新建領事館以及擴大現有的領館辦事處。

文中的interview-screening process就是指“面試篩選”，screening就是指“篩選、審查”，如screening test(篩選試驗)、 screening process(篩選工序)等。美國計劃取消過去通過打付費電話進行visa screening interview appointments(簽證面試篩選預約)，欲采取網上申請的方式，使簽證interview scheduling process(面試申請程序)就如在網上訂機票一樣容易。

美國使館承諾加速visa application process(簽證申請過程)，今后中國公民申請US visas(美國簽證)不再需要長時間的等待。同時，美國國務院準備向中國加派更多能說中文的visa officer(簽證官)，以加快visa approval(簽證審批)進度。
