一.flock:多指群居在一起的飛禽、家禽或畜群，尤指羊群。

eg:Flocks of sheep and goats are grazing on the slope.

成群的綿羊和山羊在山坡上吃草。

二.herd:指聚集在一起的牛、馬、豬等大型畜類、陸上和海洋里的哺乳動物群或以陸棲、水棲的大鳥群。

eg:The herd of cows were scattered over the field.

成群的牛遍布在田野上。

三.swarm:指經常在一起活動的昆蟲類的群，尤指蜂群。

eg:A swarm of bees are busy with their collecting.

一群蜜蜂在辛勤的采蜜。

四.school:指魚、鯨等水族動物的群。

eg:A school of fish is swimming in the sea.

一群魚在海中游。

五.pack:多指一群一起追獵的食肉動物，尤指狼群和獵犬，也可用來表示一群同類的群居動物，通常指野生動物、飛禽或魚。

eg:Wolves hunt in large packs.

狼成群覓食。

六.brood:指一窩同時孵出的雛雞、雛鳥或幼蜂，以及昆蟲、魚等一次產出的幼蟲和幼卵。

eg:A hen gathered a brood of chickens under her wings.

母雞把一群小雞掩在翼下。

七.drove:常代指一大群動物，尤其是一群結對移動的動物或被驅趕前行的畜群。

eg:Bees flew in droves above her head.

群蜂圍著她轉。

八.pride:指鳥、畜的群，尤指獅子和孔雀。

九.cloud:指空中成群飛行的昆蟲。

十.flight:指飛行的鳥群、昆蟲群或箭的齊發。
