1. Before watching

GATHER a group of friends before you sit down to watch a movie or a TV show.

This will make it easier for you to practice some of the English words and expressions you hear.
為方便交談，盡量找出有關(guān)該電影或電視的基本情節(jié)，角色，演員，導演和獎項。
To aid your conversations, find out as much information as you can about the movie or TV show’s basic plot, characters, actors, director and awards.
確保你們所有人都用英語來討論。
Be sure to have all of your discussions in English.

2. While watching
你可能需要把某個情節(jié)或者某段場景看幾遍。
You might need to watch an episode, or certain scenes of a drama, a couple of times.
這取決于你的英語水平和劇本的復雜性。
This will depend on your level of English, and on the complexity of the drama.
對于復雜點的劇目，比如《辦公室》，可以先看配有中文字幕的英文原生版。
For a complicated show like The Office, watch it in English with Chinese subtitles first.
這會幫助你領(lǐng)會主題和情節(jié)的要點。
This will help you get the gist of the themes and plot.
當你做到這些時，那么就琢磨跟你朋友討論什么話題。
When you’re done, start thinking about issues to discuss with your friends.
然后，兩天后，再看一遍——這遍字幕是英文的。
Then, a couple of days later, watch the piece again – this time with subtitles in English.
注意里面所用的語言。
Focus on the language.
當你看的時候，至少寫下10個新詞匯和5個短語或表達。
As you are watching, write down at least 10 new words and 5 phrases or expressions.
猜它們的意思
Guess their meaning.
之后，通過查字典或問一問英語為母語的人來檢查你猜的意思對不對。
Later, check your guess by looking up the words and expressions in a dictionary, or by asking a native English speaker.
記住，一些語言你可能在課本上找不到!關(guān)注一下怎么樣用這些詞。
Remember, some of the language will likely not be found in your textbooks! Be careful about how you use the words!
最后，再看一遍，這次只有英文對白沒有字幕。
Finally, watch the piece a third time, in English only, without subtitles.
如果你完全掌握了它的意思，那么就和劇本中的演員對口型吧。
If you have fully mastered the meaning, lip-synch the dialogues from the script with the actors.
試著記住你喜歡的鏡頭并表演出來。和你的同學來表演。
Try to memorize and act out your favorite scenes. Stage performances for your classmates.
最后，你必須對你自己的學習負責。
Ultimately, you must take responsibility for your own learning.
