四級寫作共一題，所占分數比例為15%，考試時間30分鐘。寫作選用考生所熟悉的題材，考生根據規定的題目和所提供的提綱、情景、一句話、圖畫或圖表等，寫出一篇120~180詞的短文。寫作要求表達準確、意義連貫、無重大語法錯誤。
4大作文類型及高分模板
1. 現象闡釋型
這類作文多為提綱式作文或圖表式作文。這類命題要求考生對某一社會現象進行解釋，分析產生該現象的原因并加以評論。

第二段分別論述人們對此事物或現象的看法及原因;
第三段表明自己的觀點并給出理由。
