Valentine's Day: Does Love Only Exists on That Day?

So Valentine's day is coming. Millions of couples are going to celebrate this day. I won't. It isn't because I am single. It's because I celebrate my love every day of the Year. I don't remember my loved one only this particular day; the 14th of February.

"Valentine's Day or Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14 by many people throughout the world. In the West, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery. The holiday is named after two among the numerous Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. I think it's childish to celebrate that day. Do we need a day to celebrate our love? Well I am against any "special" day like Mother's day, Father's day, Aids day, Environment day etc. I think that everyday should be Mother's day, Father's day etc. Everyday we should care for other people, show our love, protect the environment, give charity etc.

Many would say: "What's wrong with it? We would like to celebrate!". OK you can do it, but remember that there are many people that will profit from this day. Many people have named this day as "Florist's day" or "Pastry cook's day". They are not wrong. Florists and Pastry Cooks make thousands of dollars on that day! It's not bad for people to earn, but why be a victim of that day? You can buy flowers cheaper on "casual" days to show your love!

So I would advice you to love your soulmate everyday as much as you could! Have you ever bought flowers on a casual day to your loved one? Have you seen their reaction? It's far better than Valentine's day because they are not expecting the flowers from you!

One last thing! I hope that the 14th of February will be a casual day for you! A casual day full of love like all others!

情人節(jié)到了。上百萬(wàn)對(duì)情人即將慶祝這一天。我不會(huì)。倒不是因?yàn)閱紊恚俏颐刻於紤c祝我們的愛(ài)情。只有在2月14日這一天才會(huì)忘記所愛(ài)的人。

“ 情人節(jié)”或“圣瓦倫仃節(jié)”是全世界許多人在2月14日慶祝的節(jié)日。在西方國(guó)家，這是情人們表達(dá)愛(ài)意的傳統(tǒng)日子，互寄情人節(jié)卡片、互贈(zèng)鮮花或糖果。這個(gè)節(jié)日是以兩個(gè)早期基督教殉教者中叫瓦倫仃的人名命名的。在中世紀(jì)鼎盛時(shí)期高雅的愛(ài)情傳統(tǒng)盛行。這一天隨著喬叟文學(xué)的流行而與浪漫愛(ài)情聯(lián)系起來(lái)。

我覺(jué)得慶祝這一天有點(diǎn)兒幼稚。需要專(zhuān)門(mén)有一天來(lái)慶祝愛(ài)情嗎？呵，我反對(duì)任何諸如母親節(jié)、父親節(jié)、兒童節(jié)、環(huán)境日等“特殊”日子。每天都應(yīng)該是母親節(jié)、父親節(jié)。我們每天都要關(guān)愛(ài)他人，表達(dá)情意，保護(hù)環(huán)境，給予仁愛(ài)。

許多人會(huì)問(wèn)：“這又有什么？我們喜歡慶祝！”好吧。你可以這么做。但記住，許多人將從中獲利。人們稱(chēng)它“花商節(jié)”或“餡餅廚師節(jié)”。沒(méi)錯(cuò)。在那天，花商和餡餅廚師收入頗豐。對(duì)于要賺錢(qián)的人來(lái)說(shuō)這個(gè)日子真不賴。但干嘛要讓自己變成犧牲品呢？你可以在平常買(mǎi)到更便宜的花來(lái)表達(dá)你的愛(ài)。

所以我建議每天盡所能地愛(ài)你的精神伴侶。平常你買(mǎi)過(guò)花送給他/她嗎？你有見(jiàn)過(guò)他/她的反應(yīng)嗎？他們意外收到你的花，所以反應(yīng)一定比情人節(jié)那天棒多了。

最后，我希望2月14號(hào)是個(gè)平常日，一個(gè)充滿愛(ài)意的普通日子。
